Finding new customers is the lifeblood of any business and seems like a daunting task at first.

That is until you change the mindset:

A – From finding customers to letting customers find you.
B – Thinking like your customer, conceptualising what they want.
C – From making a direct offer to adding value to your customers lives first.

There are many online resources where you can achieve this task.

In this article, I’ll discuss the online assets you can use to letting customers find your offer and contact you.

So lets get cracking, here are the steps you need to take to letting new customers find you:

1. Content Writing and Search Engine Rankings

Every time a person does a search online, they are essentially saying – I am looking for the products you are offering.

If you put yourself in your customers mind-set and come up with a list of search phrases they may use when looking for your offer.

Like for example “safari tour kruger park” or “how to rent a truck in johannesburg” or “outdoor end of year venue”.

You can write an article and post it to your website.

You will get natural rankings in search engines like Google, where your customers will find you.

It is imperative that you give away good value in the content that showcases your expertise in the industry.

You can then syndicate the article, by posting it to places where your customers congregate in social networks.

2. Successful Social Networks

There are many places where your potential customers congregate and you can syndicate the article you wrote.

So your customers can find it, get to know your brand and experience your know-how adding immense credibility to your brand.

These are the places, where we have found success by posting value adding content:

* Google Plus
Google Plus is part of Google My Business, which is the social network of Google. According to http://techtimes.com Google + has 4-6 million Active Members. Many of which are in South Africa.

* Facebook Page
Many people surf the web from Facebook and they do their searching inside this social network. According to https://www.statista.com Facebook has 1.94 Billion Active Users. If you place your content inside your company page in Facebook, customers are bound to find it and make contact with you.

* LinkedIn Business Page
For B2B companies, there is no better place than LinkedIn. LinkedIn is a business network, where people congregate to find solution, staff and offer their products. According to https://www.statista.com LinkedIn has 467 Million Members.

3. Where Your Customers Ask Questions

People ask for advise in many places online, the following are places where you can answer these questions thereby building rapport with your potential customers:

* Yahoo Answers https://answers.yahoo.com/ is the best known place where people ask questions, many of which are related to business. Do a search for your type of products and answer these.

* Another good resource is http://www.answers.com.

* People are not just limited to questions in Question-Answer websites but could post questions in Forums, Blogs and Websites. To get these questions you can create a Google Alert that will tell you whenever somebody has posted a question related to your topic.

The more you know about online resources that will bring customers to you, the easier it will be for you to attract new clients.
